Goodbye Summer

Mother Nature is angry. She didn't let me and everyone else spend summer to the max! Boo!

Summer 2009 officially ends today. The low pressure area in Mindoro is now typhoon "Crising". And I believe there's another low pressure area near the Panay Islands. Nakoo! It's suppose to hot these days. I "invested" on shorts for this season because I believed it will be hot and the classrooms in Bel don't have aircon. Now I have to buy pants (yippie!) and/or leggings for the "rainy season".

I've only been to the beach once this summer. Bad trip!

Naked and Confused

Went to school this morning and I forgot to wear my earrings. I felt naked. :(

I am horribly confused right now. Discerning is hard. It takes weeks to really know and understand which is the better good between A and B.
Bad trip kasi... Gusto kong magpapigil, hindi naman gingawa. :'(

Fangirl Mode

Since last week, I've been watching "Boys Before Flowers". It is the Korean version of Boys Over Flowers/Hana Yori Dango. And this is my first time to watch a Koreanovela for the longest time. The last time I watched a series was "Witch Yoo-hee" when I was in first year college. And I didn't even finish that series because my brother already told me how it ended.

And because I've been watching, I can't help but have a crush on the lead guy in that series. teehee^_^
Goo Joon Pyo played by Lee Min Ho is HOT!!!

At first glance, you would think it's Jerry Yan from Meteor Garden (Taiwanese version of Boys Over Flowers). But Lee Min Ho looks more handsome that him.^_^ Though the curled hair is not working for me. I believe he is in his early 20s. Yey!:D

From http://www.flickr.com/photos/11632742@N05/3313404938/
He reminds me of "Green Ranger", my classmate in my aikido class way back in high school, whom I had a huge crush on.^_^ Just make his hair straight and his skin tanner, then he would look like Green Ranger.
If there's really a guy like Goo Joon Pyo... hmm... Would I throw myself unto him? Maybe not. I don't want to get hurt (physically). LOL But grand gifts wouldn't hurt. They would never hurt!

Watching Koreanovelas makes me happy and giddy.^_^ This is second to my ultimate relaxation activity. Because nothing beats a day in the spa!

Love Talks over Coffee

"If you still feel and care for someone for almost 5 years now after you broke-up, is that still love?" -Joe

"I am in love when I am contented and happy today, and can't wait for tomorrow to see her again." -Nelman

"When people are against a relationship, the couple gets the feeling of 'you and i against the world', which adds romance and color to their relationship. And usually, they become more attached to each other." -Caps

"I don't want him to tell me he is courting me or asks for my permission if he wants to court me. I want to feel that he likes me more." -Riza

"When a guy texts you often, it doesn't mean he's into you, right? We are friends, so he can do that." -Carla

"I want someone who looks clean and respectable." -Kat

"It's hard when the family doesn't like the guy. I mean, I know what that's like, but on a different case (girl). I don't know if I can fight for him(the guy) when/if that happens to me.." -Karly

My friends and I were in Seattle's Best in Greenbelt from 1 till the sky was turning blue(again). Talked about love, and I didn't notice that time was ticking so fast. The area management was slowly turning off the lights and we were the last customers to leave the place. Had to walk barefooted because beautiful shoes kill.

I wish that morning did not come. We could have talked for a longer time then. I hope that this won't be the last time we could do that, since I won't be seeing them for a long time.

Kapalmuks Day

I mark this day as the day I lost all of my dignity and shame. LOL!

This morning, I was dressed to look like the epic hero we were discussing in my Fil14 class. My groupmates and I filmed our scenes in the Gesu Church with the rain and wind effect. Ang taray ng shooting namin! But it would have been better if it were sunny the whole time. I had to sing songs that I am not very familiar with like "Mang Jose" and a song with the lines, "Hinahanap-hanap kita" or maybe that's really the title. And the fight scenes were funny because our characters were suppose to be macho and manly, but what we did were slapping and cat-fighting. It was funny and crazy! :D

Then in the afternoon, I had an interview for TNT. Before the interview, we were tasked to make a TNT monster, that would show what a TNT should not be. So it must look sloppy, dirty, not prepapred and shy. So I made KaTie, the Kutong Lupa TNT monster.

So during the interview, the interviewer asked me a question, "What did Janno Gibbs?" And I gave the wrong answer. I was talking about Ogie Alcasid when I was suppose to talk/answer something about Janno Gibbs. I was super confident with my answer, and my interviewer was laughing. Then she pointed out that I was talking about Ogie Alcasid.
And then, she told me to pretend to have magic powers and use black magic to talk to the parrot who is suppose to have my "ex-boyfriend's" soul. I had to make bird sounds in the room, and talk like a witch.
Here's the fun part: She told me to dance "Poker Face" for the parrot because the parrot wants me to dance. So I danced and sang for the parrot.

Now I'll have to wait for the results of the interview. And I dread the day when our Fil14 project will be shown to class.
Wala na akong hiya... :O

Ire a Vigan!

I'm really excited for my SA21 field trip!
VIGAN!!

taken from: http://www.visit-ilocos.com/images/vigan02.jpg

Vigan is about 8 hours away from Manila. My prof said that it is the only colonial city in Southeast Asia (that's maintained, I think..) He also said that shops, restaurants and museums close at around 9pm. And we were told that the hotel we will be staying in is strict about the 9pm "curfew". So... Hello Vigan night life at 6-9pm! :D

Two weeks to go and it will be "HOLA VIGAN!"

On Goodbyes

Goodbye SEVENTEEN PHILIPPINES!

For months, even years I have been buying and reading the magazine for the basic reason that it's a fashion magazine. I love looking at the clothes, accessories and especially the beauty products. And my favourite section is TRAUMARAMA! The snippets of embarrassing stories never fails to make me laugh. Though there are some stories that are corny, most are utterly mortifying. I read the horoscopes, but they never happen to me. LOL!

But for the past months, their articles seem to be directed more to high school students than to college students. Clothes and accessories were stylish and chic and hip, but the articles were too high school-ish for me. Or maybe it's just because I can't relate to those articles (Love, How to deal: College, etc). I liked the articles wherein they tackled what to expect when one is going to work or applying for a job.

It's time to look for a new magazine every month. But what would that be? Newsweek is an exception since it's a weekly magazine that tackles current events.

I WANT a new magazine. :D

Don't Believe In Love - Dido

Was paying for a shirt in Penshoppe awhile ago and I saw this video playing on the TV behind the cashier. Since the video the store used was from MYX, the video had lyrics (ala karaoke type). While I was waiting for the new cashier lady to hand me may card, I watched the video and the lines:

"If I don't believe in love
Nothing will last for me
If I don't believe in love
Nothing is safe for me..."

struck me. Those lines made me think about LOVE.

hmm...

Linggo de Lingua Europa 2

Will be on September. And I want to win some prizes there!:D
Free German or Spanish lessons will be really great.
Oh! And the food festival! Yummeh!:D

So I guess the fortune teller...

is RIGHT!

I have a STRONG personality that makes me "FORMIDABLE". Thank you ate manghuhula for pointing out what my friends have been telling me for... forever? LOL. She added that this "strong personality" makes people, especially guys feel intimidated. I swear it's not intentional. I mean, I don't know why I am like that... Ok, so maybe I do know why. But... This is me(?) Lame excuse..

And to YOU, guy whom ate manghuhula was talking about, HELLO! :-P

What I Learned Today

WHAT?
SO WHAT?
NOW WHAT?

There is an "art" in being a facilitator. It's not just being a person who talks to the group, asks random questions, and makes the group interested in whatever they're suppose to do/tasked to do. The facilitator must:
* let the group learn the lessons themselves
* draw the insights from the group, NOT you giving out/leading them to the answers
* SENSITIVITY
* CREATIVITY
* LISTEN.

I felt that this day was very productive. I had fun doing the activities in the Faci Training in school. And I met new people, whose names I will eventually forget next week. Ha! Ha! I really suck in remembering names.

Dorkiness

I am excited next week! Because I'm a GEEK!
Summer school starts next week! And I can't wait for my SA 21 class. Heard there'll be field trips in that class. Yey-ness!
Also next week, I'll be attending a meeting for an event this coming September. And in that meeting, there will be representatives from the different foreign embassies in the Philippines. For some weird reason, the idea of seeing diplomats excite me! :D Planning for a big event really excites me!

I bought a used Spanish workbook in Booksale awhile ago. (yes! I am a dork!) I "need" to "perfect" my Spanish so that next semester, I can (I hope) be exempted in the Spanish finals. :D

Bohol is Love

Yes! Bohol is the most amazing place I've visited so far.

ALONA BEACH RESORT
taken from http://www.flickr.com/photos/ianong/517245513/

The beach (Alona Beach) is to die for! It has white sand, and it's cleaner than Boracay. There were more foreigners there than Filipinos. I don't know it's like that. But it's really beautiful. I wish my family could have stayed there for a longer time.
Oh! I met a "boy" there. Haha! He was this little boy, who is probably 6-8 years old, whom I was talking to while he was playing on the beach. He spoke fluent English, so I thought that the kid must be born probably in the US. He looked mestizo. But he's a Filipino, because while he was talking about his summer plans, he said "kasi". Then when I was about to leave, he threw a sand ball on my back and was laughing. He did that a couple of times. Bad trip na bata! LOL! :D

We went snorkeling! It was GREAT! Kuya brought me to the edge of the marine sanctuary in the Balicasag Island and there I saw many colorful fishes in different shapes and sizes. I held on the rope tightly because I was too afraid that the waves might take me to the deep and dark area. Then he brought me a little further away from the edge to see the school of fish that people don't usually see near the protected part. I was gripping Kuya's arms because I was scared of seeing a weird creature there. Haha! Kuya was smirking at my discomfort when he was guiding me through the dark area.

The Tarsiers are cute. But they have weird looking hands that are so long and "bone" like. They're eyes are so big and they don't seem to blink as often as we do. I took a picture of a sleeping tarsier, and it looked like Gollum/Yoda.

I want to go back to Bohol!:D

I'll upload the Cebu-Bohol pics next time.

Fast and Furious 4

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fast_and_Furious_poster.jpg

It says in the poster that it'll be shown in April 3, but here in the Philippines, it was shown today, April 2. I believe that's the release date in the U.S.

I like it better than Tokyo Drift. Haha! Because the characters were more mature and they are the original characters.

But I don't get it why they need to have lesbo action there. Ok, guys like that part and get horny, but really? Why? I know that cars equal hot babes. But I think the lesbo action was too much.

The cars were awesome. And I find it "cute" when they were driving in the Mexican-U.S. border (the desert area). All the cars were in one line. Then they went into the long tunnel, which I thought was never going to end.

Vin Diesel is über macho, and his arms scare me. Haha! But he's really cool and mature. I liked it that he didn't get it on with the new girl, Gal Gadot. I thought he would, near the ending of the movie, but he didn't. Nice nice.

Paul Walker... I love his blue eyes. ^_^ But he looked older and I wasn't loving the stubbles. He didn't look that great in his suit. But when he was in a t-shirt, his arms are to die for. They're smaller than Vin Diesel's, but I love them. ^_^

I had fun watching this film with my brothers. One of them wanted to "imitate" what those dudes were doing in the film. Haha! But he can't since he was driving dad's van. Too big.

"Nation of Servants" by Chip Tsao

Saw this link from a friend in her Twitter...

http://memoirs.lecio.us/?p=364

Outraged, yes I am.

I remember what my POS 194.3 professor said when her one of her colleague asked her or told her that the Philippines are full of domestic helpers only. But she said something like that those jobs that Filipinos do abroad are honest, clean and honorable jobs.
