red wine

When dad opens a bottle of red wine, it means, 1) it's New Year or 2) we're celebrating something. So I've always thought/believed that the "red wine drinking" is only for special events.

Then mom found a new "healthy lifestyle": drinking red wine every night. Yes, ang sossy ni mommy at may pa-red wine pang nalalaman. We drink because it's good for the heart. (fact)

I've always associated red wine to a celebration. And now, it sort of lost that "feeling".

Resume

Felt that I would not get anywhere with studying the 10 thesis statements for my philo oral exam, so I "took a break" and started with my resume.

The extra-curricular activities covered the biggest chunk of my CV. (Muy bien?) and most of my activities are YFC-related. (Muy muy bien?)

From the list of activities, I can say that 2008-2009 is my active year. Yey for being "bibo-kid" in YFC and for being active in my org.

But I feel that my resume is a "blah"... Can it "stand out" among the other resumes? *hopes*

I checked the UN in the Phils website, but their website is not functioning. L'oreal Philippines... well I don't know where I can find the internship webpage. My dream workplace/internship is in Asian Development Bank. Pero FAIL. They only accept interns from their "partner universities" and students who are currently taking their Master's Degree or Ph.D. Naman... I don't really know where I want to work...

It's okay if don't go abroad for my OJT. After listening to the OJT Orientation by my org and another one by the placement office, I realized that I don't need to go out of the country to have a cool OJT experience. But! If fate wills it, then muy muy muy bien para mi.

Semi-productive 2 days

1. OJT Orientation materials ready: must get them later (c'oz it's already 1am now) in the photocopy place

2. Sort of (1%) understood the Kemp model. And I hate taxes. hahaha!

3. Sort of read for POS131, except for Krassner. Will do that after Philo class later

4. Reconnected (yes me ganun) with old friends through FB.

5. Shared things/matters with Partner. Okaaay. Ilang pa rin, but if that'll help the partnership and the "success" of our group/team/household, go lang. He's much better than last year Partner. Muy bien para mi. :))

6. Help Brother with his orals shizz. Yes, I am a good sister, though... --------

So there :D good luck to me for the next days.

When I turn 21 next month (Yuck! It's super near) I will dance FIRE by 2NE1. Just the part when they raise both their arms and do a wave move. Sorry, I have loser dance moves. Hahaha! Oh and I want something "significant" to happen on my birthday. Like, have a "children's party" in an orphanage, and make them happy... Hahaha! (Hindi ata bagay sa akin toh..) A surprise party would be nice too, but I sort of had that last January. Though medyo fail un kasi ung "big surprise" wasn't able to come... BOO YOU! hahaha!:P

I can hear my ninang's mocking voice in my head. (Gah! weird) She told me once that I am like my mom, "Maria Clara. Pakipot pa. Kunwari ayaw magpaalalay, gusto naman." Mom said that I am like my ninang, "You intimidate guys kasi. Mataray pa." Then my brothers, who apparently overheard my ninang and mom talking, said, "Oh noes. Ate kasi is so mataray and intimidating. Kaya walang lumalapit." Shet.

Happiness!

Do you know that radio commercial of Enervon by Gerald Anderson and Kim Chu? Where in Gerald would shout in the later part of the commercial, "HAPPINESS!" I've always hated that part, kasi ang loser ng reason niya for saying it. But But But... I know jologs ako and I wanted to shout that: HAPPINESS! \o/

Major BV since last night. I was suppose to be in URS, Tanay last night pa, but tito said that it's dangerous to travel at night. Me being naive, thought that the way going to the Metrocon venue was NPA infested. And my brother thought naman that the towns we would be passing through would have tons of drug addicts or crazy drunk people. So we left this morning, and as we were cruising the tricycle dominated streets of Rizal province, my brother realized that the road we were in is the one we pass by going to lola's house. And we usually pass by that area at 10-12mn since dad usually has work, so we go to the province late at night. SO... OK lang pala if we went to the venue nung night time. Sanay na si brother magdrive in that place. BV BV BV

Anyway... When we arrived at the venue, it was cold!! And we didn't bring any jacket. So okay, tiis kami.

Saw my YFC friends. Saw an old high school classmate. Saw my former head who was transferred to Bicol last year. Saw my "team mate" from Team Singapore days. Met a student who had the most amazing eyes I've seen (they were gold-ish. Hello Edward Cullen? and they were REAL).

Yes, today is LOVE. The weather in Tanay was awesome, it was like being in Tagaytay. I saw people who I miss, love, and they make me genuinely happy. OH and also because nilibre ako ng food 2x. I feel the love talaga! :D hahaha!

so yeah... today is HAPPINESS day :D

The Killers in Manila

When I found out (on Tumblr) that the Killers will be having a concert in Manila on January, I just had to mega-buzz (hahaha! me ganun?) my friend about it. It was 12mn and I was suppose to do some readings for EU151 and at the same time, I was chatting. Yes to multi-tasking.

But my friend and I "have to wait (and see?)" who are the sponsors for the concert. Baka kasi may kakilala and makakuha ng discount. Yey!:D
