Last Weekend

Friday Morning.
Dad accompanied me to Health First Clinic where I was to get my Cervical Cancer shot. "Prevention is better than cure!" As people say. So thank you mom for paying a great deal of money for such shot.
Before we entered the clinic, 2 male nurses had to check our temperature and ask questions about our condition for the past week.
"Do you have cough or colds?"
No.
"Did you went out of the country the past weeks?"
No.
"Did you visit the province the past weeks?"
No.
"Did you go to La Salle?"
Ah. My daughter goes to Ateneo. (My dad said with a big smirk on his face. Thank you, dad.)

Saturday Early Evening.
The emcee, who had a horrible time pronouncing some of the names and words during the reception of my tita's wedding, announced that it was time for the bride to "toss" her bouquet. But since the bouquet weighed about 2 lbs (ok, I'm exaggerating, but it was quite heavy), my tita said she'll just pick a name from her box of names of single ladies. And unfortunately (yes, unfortunately) my name was called. Thank you tita and tito! Loved the bouquet.
Then after that, the bridal garter/cord part, where a guy was called (his name was picked out from a box too). Another unfortunate event. The guy was not good looking. (sorry pare) And I could see from my family's table that my dad was not excited about what was happening and my mom was all smiles.
So I sat on a chair, while the dude put the garter on my leg. I tapped his hand when he reached just a little above my knee.
Then I went to our table. Mom was laughing when I was yanking the garter off my leg. She said that both her and dad were betting on how long that part of putting the garter would last. Dad said I wouldn't let the guy put it on me. Mom said that I would be mataray to the dude that he would be too intimidated to go further as to putting the garter. Thanks ma and dad!
The next time I am part of the bridal toss, I'll make sure that there are cute guys there. ahahahaha!:D
